Keiyana Osmond and Kyle Wesley, two rising writer/artists (from Logan, Utah) have teamed up to write the pop song “Dancin’ On A Wire,” which was won the SongwriterUniverse “Best Song Of Month” Contest for January. This song features lead vocals by Osmond, with added vocals by Wesley. “Dancin’ On A Wire” will be included on Osmond’s debut EP, which will be released on March 26.

“Dancin’ On A Wire” is a contemporary, pop midtempo song which has an appealing melody and sounds ready for radio airplay. The song starts off softly and more understated, and then leads into a powerful first chorus, and continues to build from there. “Dancin’ On A Wire” features soulful, expressive lead vocals by Osmond, and it was skillfully produced Wesley (who played the music tracks and sings harmony vocals), with added production by Evan Feist of Stacks of Wax Production.

Osmond (who is 18) was born and raised in the city of Logan, and she learned to play guitar at a young age. She entered and won a local singing competition, which gave her the confidence to seriously pursue her music. She’s been inspired by listening to such favorite artists as Alicia Keys, Christina Perri and Colbie Caillat.

Wesley (who is 23) was born near Seattle, WA, and then grew up in Logan. He plays guitar and several other instruments, and he’s been influenced by Three Doors Down, Hoobastank and John Mayer. Wesley is developing his writing/producing skills, and he’s formed a country/pop band called Roadtrip Romance which includes Jeremy Christensen, Dani Wills and Candace Christensen.

Osmond first met Wesley in March 2012 when a mutual friend visited Wesley’s studio, and suggested that he work with Osmond. The two got together and decided to write a song (“Dancin’ On A Wire”) which would be featured in a music video. Osmond & Wesley successfully raised money via Kickstarter, and they were able to hire video producer Taylor Ballam of Ballam Films (also from Logan).

The result is Osmond’s excellent new single, and the video will be released in early February.  Osmond & Wesley also worked together on her upcoming EP, writing all four of the songs. Wesley said, “It’s been a treat working with Keiyana, and to see something  taking off so well.” Keiyana said, “It’s been great working with Kyle, and also with videographer Taylor Ballam.”

Notably, Osmond is forming her own group, which will feature two local artists, Josh Baxter and Garyn Bennett.
