This association was established 20 years ago, and currently has about 300 members. They welcome all styles of music. This association is a grassroots, non-profit organization (founded in 2001), which encourages developing songwriters and celebrates the art of songwriting in the community, creates opportunities and enables songwriters to meet and exchange ideas and information about songwriting. Now with over 550 members, they hold weekly showcases throughout the state. They also provide other performance opportunities throughout the year. This association was founded in 1997 by Paul Iwancio, and has over 100 members. The group meets twice per month at 3134 Eastern Ave, where they critique songs, exchange feedback and ideas, and host guest industry speakers. Website

This regional workshop of NSAI meets on the last Tuesday of the month at 7:00 pm at the Dorchester Arts Center, 120 High Street, Cambridge, MD. Their workshop includes either a writing exercise, a music industry topic, or a guest speaker, and a song critique session.

Boston Songwriters Workshop (BSW). 617-499-6932. BSW is a professional organization of songwriters and composers which helps each other develop in the art, craft and business of songwriting.
